Zimbio Inc. Uses New Funds to Open NY Office

Zimbio Inc., a website for entertainment and fashion, received $8.9 million in second-round financing earlier this month, according to The New York Post, and has been putting this money to use. The company is opening its first NY office for StyleBistro.com, and hiring up to six more editors.

Danica Lo, author of “How Not to Look Fat” and editor at Glamour, was hired by John Newlin, Zimbio Inc. editor-in-chief. Lo will be running day-to-day editorial operations of StyleBistro.com. Newlin told the Post of Lo’s addition to the company, “Basically, it signals a branching out from our celebrity-centric fashion coverage. She’ll bring a wider skill set to cover beauty, fashion and some retailing.”
