Livefyre, San Francisco-based commenting platform, announced that it is opening a NY office, where 75% of its clients are based. According to Business Insider, Livefyre provides commenting platforms for companies such as Fox, CBS Interactive and NBC, has already $5.1 million worth of bookings this year alone, and is supposed to finish at $10 million.
Jordan Kretchmer, CEO and founder of Livefyre, told Business Insider that, “The bigger we get, the more efficient it is for us to deliver a pageview.” When Kretchmer was asked how Livefyre managed to make money off of a platform that can be implemented for money, he cited their flexible platform that allows publishers to customize widgets and aggregate conversations across the web.
Livefyre currently has 45 employees, and plans to expand to 60 by the end of 2012, five of whom will be at the NY office.
