On Tuesday night NYU’s Skirball center filled up for the monthly New York Tech Meetup. Numerous tech startups demoed their products and answered audience questions. A few of the of the companies at the Meetup were:
- Twilio- creator of the TwilioBot 3000, which can be controlled through the numbers on a cellphone.
- Appguppy- which lets users create iPhone or Android apps about themselves, by integrating personal websites and social media presences into a single app.
- Vook- a DIY eBook creator which then lets creators sell their projects on iBook, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, or Vook’s own website.
- Consmr-which actually debuted last year, lets customers scan barcodes and see product reviews for items ranging from air products to condoms. The platform will soon be including nutrition information for foods as well.
