NY has announced a new pilot program to turn some of its 12,400 pay-phone kiosks into WiFi hotspots. The Department of Information and Technology and Telecommunications told The NY Daily News that eventually the program will spread to all five boroughs. There will be no password or advertising, but the companies providing the service, Van Wagner and Titan, will be mentioned.
