NY Launches Generation Tech Program For High School Students

On August 6th, 30 high school students from economically disadvantaged areas in NYC will join togeher in launching NYC Generation Tech. The program, started by The NYC Economic Development Corp. and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, challenges these students to create a mobile app aimed at improving the quality of education or life for NY students. It begins with a 2-week intensive boot camp, and continues in the fall with after-school classes on entrepreneurship.

NYC Generation Tech is part of NY’s larger initiative to create and promote the tech economy within the city.
