Time Warner has released a request for proposals from universities on a cutting-edge way to use their Time Warner Medialab, which launched in January at the parent company’s Columbus Circle headquarters. The request was made at the annual Broadcast Education Association conference—held this year, for the first time at the lab, according to Crain’s New York. The MediaLab is already equipped with an eye-tracking room to observe multi-tasking viewers and a mock den used to examine television watchers in their natural habitat. The company hopes to find and fund a research project regarding media usage and consumption.

The request for proposals has a submission deadline of Nov. 1 and the winning academic institution will be announced Dec. 15.
