The Venture Capital scene in Brooklyn is becoming more attractive for investors, according to CB Insights. The total funding in the second quarter of 2012 hit a ten quarter high and was twice the level of the next highest quarter for Brooklyn. Also, VC deals came in at a four quarter high mark in Brooklyn.

Although Brooklyn’s VC  funding is on the rise, the large majority of VC funding in NY still goes to Manhattan based companies. 84% of dollars and 92% of deals over the last 10 quarters have gone to Manhattan-based companies. In Q2 2012 Manhattan matched its own ten quarter high on a deals basis too.
