Historic Manhattan Maps in New Online Collection

The David Rumsey Map Collection launched recently and features 120 maps total from around the world. The maps date from 1680 to 1930 and they are over-layed onto Google Earth. According to Buzzfeed, the collection features maps of Manhattan views, pre-condominiums and Starbucks. The total collection consists of over 150,000 maps. One particular map of NY is from 1852, and was the first map to show all lots and buildings in the metropolitan area
