The Huffington Post launched an Internet TV news/talk channel yesterday. The channel, Huff Post Live, offers 12 hours of live weekday programming. Commentators are both paid hosts and viewers who participate via their own webcams and Google Hangouts.
Huff Po’s co-founder Kenneth Lerer is investing in a fledgling live video startup, code named Planet Daily. According to the New York Times, Huff Po is following a wider trend. Even traditional newspapers now use live media to capture a wider audience.
