NY Tech firms are known for non-traditional office arrangements. Now they’re taking on the great outdoors. Loosecubes, an office-sharing company, set up picnic tables under the Brooklyn Bridge Thursday. About 50 people took advantage of the free workspace, WiFi and beer. The working arrangements will be available each Thursday through the end of August.
The outdoor event is a summer promotion for the Dumbo Improvement District and Loosecubes’ free service. The company will start charging fees this fall.
Graphic designer Meghan Doherty told The Wall Street Journal she appreciated the new space, saying, “I just got bored of going to the same three coffee shops.”
