NY is currently the number one tweeting city in the USA, according a study by Paris-based Semiocast. Though it ranks 5th in the world (after Jakarta, Tokyo, London, and São Paulo) it beats such US cities as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami, who are also in the top 20 list. The study tracked tweets containing location information throughout June, 2012.
