New York’s $3 billion car-service and limo industry, with its fleet of 50,000 vehicles, is the largest in the nation, according to the Wall Street Journal. In response, numerous services have started, such as Taxi Magic, Sedan Magic, and Uber. They all have mobile apps connected to the business, allowing users to book a car to and from anywhere in or around the city. However, passengers are still finding problems with pricing, billing – via mobile account or on the spot credit card, and wait time.

Services such as Taxi and Sedan Magic allow users to book in advance through a mobile account that takes mintues to activate. However, users have had trouble locating their locations on the app and end up paying high prices and tips. Competitor Uber, on the other hand, does not allow advanced booking and charges by time/mileage. Other companies such as Limos.com and AM/PM Limos offer similar services, but so far none are flawless.
