The old Who Wants to Be a Millionaire set was completely transformed before it became the state-of-the art TV studio for Katie Couric’s new ABC daytime show. A year before the show opened, a team composed of several different ABC divisions designed and coordinated the Katie project. David Linick, manager of broadcast engineering, said the facility’s infrastructure rivals that of network news operations.
