The group seems to be protesting TrapWire, a global surveillance system. They also cry “death to this horrid paper,” and ask readers to post the paper’s failures on the website. Anonymous mentioned in the post that someone may have recently changed the NY Times’s website administrator’s password. The #OpNYT announcement closes with, “Don’t wait. Retaliate. We do not forget.”
