The Joshua Light Show is returning to NY at the NYU Skirball Center. The 1960′s multimedia performance artists are back in vogue. Their work appears on stage with performances by Lou Reed, John Zorn, Terry Riley and others.

During the late 1960’s, the Joshua Light Show created the dreamy, trippy backgrounds for bands at the Fillmore East. Founded by artist Joshua Light, they projected improvised multimedia images behind the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane and Frank Zappa.
