Makerbot has opened its first retail store at 298 Mulberry Street in Little Italy, New York and is selling Makerbots, filament, and pre-made Makerbot items like watches. According to TechCrunch, the store was built to convince people that 3-D printers are, in fact, real, and to give people a chance to see how they work. TechCrunch’s reporter, John Biggs, visited the store with Makerbot’s new Replicator 2.0, which was recently released and revamped.
