Microsoft will open a holiday pop-up shop in NY this year, according to Crain’s. The space to be leased is located at the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle and will be one of 30 total holiday shops in the U.S. There have been no details yet on the size of the store or the exact length of the lease, but it is expected to stay open throughout the “holiday season.” The company is expected to reveal its new Windows 8 operating system by the end of October, making the pop up store highly anticipated.
Microsoft already has a full-time store in New Jersey, and is opening one more in Long Island and one more in Westchester. The pop up shop at the Time Warner Center will be a few blocks from the midtown Apple store.
