NY’s $80M Student Database Rarely Used by Educators

Educators use an $80 million student database less than one hour a year, according to a new study by New York University. About 69 percent of teachers used the Achievement Reporting and Innovation System. More than one third of the users spent roughly 44 minutes with ARIS, while some only used it for four minutes. The study noted that administrators used the system more often, but few explore or use the more complex tools like data analytic s.
