AlleyNYC, the newly opened space for startups hosted an event recently. Attending the event were various people, according to NYCEDC’s Tumblr, like an IT developer at a consumer magazine who wants to make an app to increase the fuel economy of cars. Additionally, there was a Hackathon that had over 200 people in attendance. The three winners announced were:
- Green Building Banner: a Google Chrome plug-in that gives consumers access to energy data
- Lean Green Stormwater: an online tool that lets facility owners calculate stormwater charges and savings under different stormwater mitigation investments
- Parkifi: a mobile app that assists users in locating a New York park with a Wi-Fi hotspot
