Recently, Business Insider released its list of the “Silicon Alley 100″ for 2012. The publication noted the rising tech sector in NYC and some of the more promising newcomers. The list applauds those who have done “the coolest things in 2012.” The list prioritizes entrepreneurs over investors, and highlights startups with great exits and people with game-changing roles. Companies that had grown immensely in the last year, like Kickstarter and Etsy, were noted along with key investors.
