Ex-members of The Huffington Post’s inner circle have remained close and prospered in NY after the AOL purchase. Former Co-founder Ken Lerer and ex-CEO Eric Hippeau are busy with Lerer Ventures. Jonah Peretti started Buzz Feed. Paul Berry, who also runs Lerer’s Soho Tech Labs, founded Rebel Mouse. The four men grew close working at HuffPo because they were all misfits with different but complimentary skill sets. They created a company without funding, support or mentoring—instead forming their own ecosystem based on hard work, innovation and trust.
