Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures offered his ideas on education and technology for Ed Startup 101, an online course in entrepreneurship. Instead of selling to institutions, startups should compete with them. That allows entrepreneurs quicker access to students and teachers. Wilson pointed to programs like Edmodo and Codeacademy, which have gained ground in schools lacking computer science education. When teachers and students adopt new platforms, he said institutions would eventually come around.  It’s also import to gauge how students are master new skills.
