More than half of the small businesses in NY don’t have a website, but Google is trying to change that. At the urging of NY State Sen. Charles Schumer, Google just announced a ‘Get Your Business Online”—free events helping small businesses with technology. The kick-off event will occur on October 15th in Brooklyn.

Google will offer a workshop in each borough that will enable businesses to set up a website with a customized domain name. Online business practices and search engine marketing will also be discussed.

Visit Sen. Schumer’s website for more information.
