Joanne Wilson Has to Have This Startup

Angel investor Joanne Wilson backed the startup Have to Have because of its unique take on the fashion space. It allows users to bookmark items they would like to buy—or have friends buy for them. Wilson, who is married to Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures, said this is what businesses would like, but don’t have the in-house expertise to build. She was drawn to the startup because early on Have to Have realized their original idea wouldn’t fly. They quickly rethought the entire program and launched a better one with growth potential.
