NY Moving Made More Competitive

Unpakt and Moveline are two new startups that let users compare bids from movers in NY. Moveline employs the iPhone’s video chat feature FaceTime, allowing users to create a virtual tour of their home’s contents. Movers view the video, create an inventory list and enter bids on the job. Unpakt breaks down a moving job into dozens of variables and allows movers to bid on each part, creating an online standard. When customers submit a detailed inventory of their possessions, Unpakt generates bids from each mover.
