Nearly one in every five New York City students misses a month of school each year. In order to combat chronic absenteeism, the Mayor’s Interagency Task Force on Truancy and NYC Digital are teaming up with AT&T for a two-day hackathon. The Mobile App Hackathon Competition invites the city’s brightest tech talent as well as students and teachers to create apps that strengthen students’ success and reduce truancy.
