Eric Hippeau of Lerer Ventures said NY is entering a golden age for entrepreneurs—and they are in the position to take advantage of it. Lerer Ventures just raised its biggest fund to date–$36 million. Hippeau said NY has an infrastructure supporting entrepreneurs. It’s very collaborative and the players often work together. Companies are hungry for qualified employees. Within Lerer Venture’s portfolio of 135 companies, Hippeau estimates there are hundreds, if not thousands, of open positions.
