The New York Times is launching today a new app designed for Microsoft’s Windows 8 platform. The new app will feature full articles, videos, photos, slideshows and blogs. Other new functions including edge swiping for easy navigation, cloud incorporation for article access from multiple devices and also offline reading. The times also announced it will have its own channel in the Bing News app.
“The introduction of these two apps for Windows 8 demonstrates our commitment to bringing our journalism to our readers on the platform of their choice,” Denise Warren, GM of NYTimes.com and senior VP and chief advertising officer of The New York Times Media Group, said in a statement.
