NYC #Cabs Made More Accessible for #VisuallyImpaired

A new bill passed by NY City Council requires cabs be equipped with a device that reads aloud fares, extra charges and instructions for paying by credit cards. The device gives visually impaired people an accurate assessment of the fare. Councilmember Jimmy Vacca (D-Bronx) said, “A blind person has the right to the same transparency as anyone else.”
