Tumblr announced a list of ad agencies and technology vendors for its A-List Partnership Program. According to Ad Week, some of the partners include AKQA, Social@Ogilvy, 360i, We Are Social, and others. Marketing and revenue lead for Tumblr, Rick Webb, said, ”We couldn’t be happier with the early success brands have had using Tumblr to tell their stories, and we’ve been honored to work with some of the most creative and talented agencies around the world.”
This advance comes a month after the company showcased two of its ad products at Advertising Week in NY. Some notable ad buyers include Coke and Adidas. Account Lead for Adidas Aisling McCarthy explained how We Are Social created original footage, turned it into stills and gifs, which were then integrated into Tumblr and shared by fans all over the globe. The A-List Partnership may heighten brand activity for micro-blogs. The program will give agency partners more access to Tumblr’s API, data, and technical support.
