Randi Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg, is also the executive producer for the new Bravo reality show “Start-Ups: Silicon Valley.” However, there have been rumors that she may be looking to mover her next show to NYC. According to The Wall Street Journal, Zuckerberg and her team are looking to expand and see what techie opportunities there are out east.
Zuckerberg said in an email that, “New York is a unique and compelling epicenter of business. While Silicon Valley is the first place that comes to mind for startups, we’ve explored some of the opportunities and personalities that it has to offer, and New York seemed like the natural next step.” NY, on top of having a tech community also has thriving show business and late night scene. Zuckerberg Media, Zuckerberg’s production company, will begin casting the show along with the production house, Den of Thieves, that worked on “Start-Ups.” Casting is expected to be finished by Christmas. Den of Thieves and Bravo confirmed the efforts. Jesse Ignjatovic, a spokesman for Den of Thieves, said they are expected to find great talent in NY given the enthusiastic atmosphere of the city.
