NJ journalist Jim Cook won an election using only Facebook. AllFacebook reports that the online editor of the South Jersey Times waged a 24-hour campaign for a seat on the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Board of Education. He updated his Facebook status on the evening of Nov. 5, asking friends to write him in as a candidate. Twenty friends immediately said they would vote for him. Cook posted seven more times during Election Day. Hurricane Sandy delayed the final count, but Cook emerged as victor this week with 261 write-in votes.
