The New York Times‘ newly relaunched Android news app features more than 25 sections of the paper, including news, opinion, videos, slide shows and blogs. The Times said the app allows for a full set of sharing options across social media and email. It also has offline reading ability and allows Android users to view and add comments. The app’s “Top News” section is free to all users, while Times subscribers can access all other sections.
Denise Warren, senior vp, said in a statement that the Times is steadfast in its efforts to deliver journalism to platforms readers use. “That means we are constantly examining our products and looking for ways to improve their features and functionality.”
