Technically Media announced its latest endeavor—Technically Brooklyn. The new tech news website will officially launch in the first half of 2013, and will be followed soon after by Technically Boston and Technically D.C.
The company started in Philadelphia and spread to Baltimore before coming to NY. Co-founder Brian James Kirk told Nieman Journalism Lab that Brooklyn resonated with him because it is similar to Philly. There is a economic and digital divide, with a lot issues to cover in terms of access, policy, and how they are attracting tech companies and changing the infrastructure to make it possible.
