Aereo’s reach will expand to 22 more cities this year. The NY-based broadcast TV streaming service said that a new $38 million round of funding will provide for the expansion. According to The Verge, Aereo said users will only be able receive local channels—Detroit viewers can’t pull in programming from Minneapolis. New cities will start coming on line in late spring. The full list of cities include Boston, Miami, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Detroit, Denver, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Cleveland, Kansas City, Raleigh-Durham, Salt Lake City, Birmingham, Providence and Madison.
