Until recently, the NY commercial real estate market has been a lot more low-key than its residential counterpart. Eschewing the brash ad campaigns, commercial brokers favored brochures and bare bones web sites. But according to The New York Times, that’s starting to change. Kaufman Organization has set up web sites for two of its commercial properties, 100-104 Fifth Avenue and 500 Seventh Avenue. Grant Greenspan, a principal at the firm, told The Times that the sites helped fill the buildings quickly.
The 100-104 site also details recent renovations, including a fire safety system, six elevators and the redesign of lobbies. It also discusses specifics about telecom cables. Condos are ahead of the game only because they are simpler to depict, said Bruce Mosler, co-chairman of Cushman Wakefield.
