Open Connecticut Makes State’s Financial Data Available Online

Open ConnecticutAt the launch of a new website allowing residents to look up state financial information, CT Comptroller Kevin Lembo said, that while citizens pay taxes, few know where the funds come from and where they go. “It’s your money, and you have a right to know,” he said in a statement. Open Connecticut, which started last week, centralizes state financial data and provides access to state budget information. According to CTNewsJunkie, the site didn’t cost CT taxpayers anything.
