With the increasing shift to e-readers, one would guess that book retailers shifting to the e-reader would be doing well. Barnes & Noble, however, announced that the losses for its Nook Media division will be even greater than in years past. The problem, according to The New York Times, lies in what these losses might be foreshadowing for the company and its future.

An anonymous source close to the company said that their new strategy will be to work on licensing their content to others who are making e-reader devices such as Microsoft and Samsung rather than engineering their own devices.
