Playwrights Horizons, an Off Broadway nonprofit, announced plans to offer a ticketing service called AVTiki, where users can buy show tickets through Facebook. They will be the first NY Stage Company to pilot AVTiki which was created by Audience View with the goal of easing the gap between hearing about a show on a social media outlet and then having to go elsewhere to purchase a ticket.
Using AVTiki gives buyers the ability to reserve nearby seats for their friends to purchase but there are not yet theatre maps available on the channel. The channel will launch for Playwrights with their upcoming show “The Flick.”
