The NY Economoic Development Corporation will soon announce the 20 startup finalists planning to move to the areas of lower Manhattan that were hit by hurricane Sandy.

There will be five winners of $250,000 and 15 who receive $10,000. Although there are no strict requirements, funding is being given with the hope that the startups will move to lower Manhattan, creating more business in the area that is struggling to recover from Sandy.

Only two of the finalists are companies not related to technology.
