Vimeo announced the acquisition of Echograph, an app for making videos appear as if they are animated GIFs. The app plays videos on a loop, similar to Vine from Twitter, and was Editor’s Choice in the App Store for over 130 different countries.
With the acquisition, Echograph will be a free download for iPhone and iPad instead of costing $2.99 in the iTunes store.
