The NY Museum of the Moving Image announced the opening of a new exhibit called “Spectacle: The Music Video.” Starting April 3, the exhibit will showcase and celebrate music videos as an art form of modern culture, as an incubator for film talent and as a mode of transport for pop culture worldwide.
The exhibition will have over 300 videos from the era pre-MTV until now and will include, among others, Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” as well as Lada Gaga and OK Go.
