NY-based video syndication business Grab Media rapidly expanding with MSN, NBC Universal, AOL and other competitors at its heels. Located in the Flatiron District, the five-year-old company earned about $20 million in revenue in 2012, has 34 employees and i the largest independent online video syndication company.
The company’s network of sites had more unique viewers than Amazon and Hulu in 2012 with 29.9 million unique viewers. Grab CEO Alvin Bowles said that Grab is predicted to double its business for the fourth consecutive year.
During 2013, U. S. spending on digital video advertisements is expected to increase to $4.1 billion and by 2016 to $8 billion. Approximately 50% of these videos were originated on the web.
