Next New Networks Swaps CEO with Chairman

New York based aggregator and Webisode syndicator Next New Networks has announced a new CEO for the company. Current CEO Lance Podell is stepping down and will stay on as chairman while co-founder and current chairman Fred Seibert will become CEO.

New York based webisode syndicator Next New Networks celebrated its billionth page view after three years in business. In an interview with paidContent, CEO Lance Podell stated that the number was a "testament to the level of interest in online video".

However, despite the large numbers, getting advertisers to spend more continues to be a struggle.

Recently, the New York Media Information Exchange Group (NY:MIEG) hosted a panel called "The Four Screens" at the Samsung store in the Time Warner center. The panel focused on the various recent developments and opportunities in the "four screens" including, traditional TV broadcast, Internet, mobile and the out-of-home digital market.

The panel featured Steve Ronson executive vice president, digital, A&E Television Networks, Lance Podell, CEO of NextNew Networks, Dana Spiegel, executive director of NYC Wireless and Michael Kogon, founder and CEO of Definition 6.

Former Seevast CEO to Head Next New Networks

After three months of looking, Next New Networks, a New York-based online video network, has found a replacement for their CEO spot with former search marketing and ad network Seevast CEO Lance Podell. The main priority will be to continue monetization efforts by making programming more "scalable and efficient." Podell starts on October 1st.

Next New Networks raised a $15 million Series B funding round this past March. In total, the company has secured $23 million in investments.
