				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>WNYC Radio</strong> has launched <strong>Public Insight Network (PIN)</strong>, built on a service grown and powered by <strong>American Public Media</strong>. PIN allows local newsrooms to have a direct link to the people, as WNYC is using PIN to ask educators, administrators and parents on their thoughts on topics ranging from Chancellor Cathie Black&#8217;s performance to potential layoffs for teachers.</p>
<p>In the future, WNYC plans to reach out to those who are beyond the listener base, recruiting new sources from events, school meetings, community board meetings and cultural events.</p>
